Fletcher BTAC FC has joined with St Johns Anglican FC to form Fletcher Football Club a 100% Fletcher community based club. Details of new website and contacts will be provided shortly. Until then contacts via here will get to the committee of the new club.
Fletcher BTAC Football Club is a small junior football club that has over 100 players and growing. It represents both Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College students and the local community of Fletcher with players being drawn from both sources for it’s teams. Due to our small nature, dedicated committee and coaching staff we offer a friendly and enthusiastic environment for children to learn the joys of playing football. The club is steadily growing with teams entered in all MiniRoos divisions and a number of junior competition grades (U12-U18). Our goal here is to continue to grow the junior club and ultimately produce some All Age teams.
The club draws its roots from Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College and we value and honour that strong and ongoing relationship drawing the majority of our players from students of the College. The BTAC in our title is an an acronym of the college name as an acknowledgement of this relationship. At games you will regularly here the team referred to as BTAC, “Go BTAC” is the standard call from the sidelines and players alike.
Like the College, the club also aims to be a strong part of the Fletcher community as a whole and welcome players from the local and surrounding areas into the club with a healthy percentage of our players being non College students.
The Aim of the Club
To foster a supportive environment for all players to learn and develop their skills and sportsmanship in the sport of football. In doing this all players will develop the confidence and skills to play football to the best of their ability and in the spirt of fair play, good sportsmanship and whilst having fun.
Fletcher BTAC FC is proudly associated with St John Football Club. Whilst we don’t have our own seniors we share a ground with St Johns and provide players into their seniors and they provide Juniors to us. The clubs may merge at some stage in the future.
